rarepair-mod.livejournal.comDue to feedback, we've made a number of changes this year, and they are as follows:
Crossover nominations are welcome. Please nominate them under the fandom "crossovers - Fandom" and include in parenthesis the fandom for each individual in the pairing.
Ex. John Watson (Sherlock)/Eleventh Doctor (Doctor Who)
Real person fiction (RPF) may be nominamed with the following caveats:
a.) Nominated characters must be 18 or older.
b.) Living non-famous persons may not be nominated (for example, someone's wife or child).
As signups require at least two pairings per fandom, fandoms that only have one pairing nominated by the end of the nomination period will be moved to a catch all fandom (name to be determined at a later point). ETA: Actually, this year we're going to give to try to see how matching goes allowing requests/offers with just one pairing.
Regarding placeholders at the time assignments are due: Stories that are obvious placeholders (random text, no text, stories under 1000 words, etc.) at the time assignments are due will be rejected. If you only have an obvious placeholder up at the time assignments are due, your assignment will go up for pinch hits, and you will not be able to participate in the next fest unless you produce a full length treat before signups for the next round start.
Retroactively, if you defaulted on a previous round at the time assignments are due, you're welcome to participate this year if you complete a full length treat before signups for the next round start.
As always, don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
