As the subject says, nominations for this round are now closed. Thank you to everyone who has nominated. We are currently sitting at 360 fandoms and 2395 relationships. That's four times the amount we have last year (wow!). Though that number will drop slightly when we go through in the morning and remove fandoms with one or zero nominations.
Now is the time to contest pairings that are too large or pairings that were erroneously rejected. Also please use this time to let us know if you see any problems with the tags (spelling issues, fandoms crossing over into the wrong category, crossovers that slipped through, missing tags, etc.). Once signups open, no changes will be made to the tagset.
Also to note, due to the increase this year, depending on how much there is to fix, signups may start a day late.

Date: 2013-06-16 05:53 am (UTC)Doctor Who has "Jack Harkness/Owen Harper/Ianto Jones" which should be under Torchwood.
Thanks so much for all your work in organising this. You really have done a wonderful job with a very frustrating process.

It should be Harvey Specter/Travis Tanner/Mike Ross.

Date: 2013-06-16 06:56 pm (UTC)Persona 4
Date: 2013-06-16 08:11 pm (UTC)In Persona 4 the main character is unnamed. In a manga adaptation he is named Seta Souji. In the anime adaptation and the fighting game sequel he is named Narukami Yu. In the different ships involving the main character there doesn't seem to be any outright duplicates, but are they being considered interchangeable or not? Example: If I request/offer Seta Souji/Shirogane Naoto, does that means it has to be manga version Seta Souji, or can it be either Narukami Yu or Seta Souji?
Re: Persona 4
Date: 2013-06-16 08:24 pm (UTC)i used that name because it's the one i'm most familiar with & like best, but i've never even read the P4 manga. :o so i'd have no problem with him being written as his anime-verse self or any other 'verse for that matter.
... maybe i should've just used "persona 4 protagonist," but that sounds so bland 8(

Date: 2013-06-17 04:41 am (UTC)I had thought you said you were going to amalgamate them all under Marvel Comics or Marvel 616.

Date: 2013-06-17 04:50 am (UTC)You do have a duplication then, Kate/Cassie is nominated under both YA and 616 (and honestly most of the YA pairings are under 616, and there are no other versions of those characters).
ETA: if I were offering, say,
Carol Danvers/Wanda Maximoff (Marvel 616)
Faiza Hussain/Dane Whitman (Marvel 616)
Luke Cage/Danny Rand (Marvel 616)
Luke Cage/Jessica Jones/Danny Rand (Marvel 616)
Matt Murdock/Franklin "Foggy" Nelson (Marvel Comics)
Misty Knight/Colleen Wing (Marvel 616)
Misty Knight/Danny Rand/Colleen Wing (Marvel 616)
Monica Rambeau/Steve Rogers (Marvel 616)
Sharon Carter/Sam Wilson (Marvel Comics)
I would be spending two slots on one fandom, and if I weren't that hot on Matt/Foggy, I wouldn't have enough "Marvel Comics" offers to offer Sharon/Sam, despite having eight other offers in the same fandom.

Date: 2013-06-17 05:33 am (UTC)Overall, you guys have been champs about tagging things. I'm really impressed.
I don't know how breaking it up would work, as there's SO many different crossovers, and everyone is in each others titles being shippy. I mean, Deadpool alone, dude. Some titles like X-Factor and YA are a little more isolated, but the Avengers are in everything.
Yuletide does do it that way, though they're going by character, and just put up with Clint Barton being nominated in 14 different categories.
I'd be pretty happy with things divided by universe, and that be the only category. Just lumped under Marvel Comics might be a little awkward, as I ship Sam/Sharon in 616, but don't really see it in Ults, and as it stands, I have no idea what the person requesting it wants until after I'm matched. At which point I might be out of luck, or reading Mark Millar, which is more or less the same thing.
If any of that makes any sense.
ETA: As to the category being too big, all lumped together, it's about the same size as some of the larger movie fandoms like MCU or Star Trek.

Date: 2013-06-17 05:44 am (UTC)It was Yuletide that got us thinking, but also then we realize we could end up with 14 different nominations for Clint/Natasha, and we have to ask ourselves if they are that different. I'd guess, probably not. So there's the dilemma. I'm sure there's some happy medium out there; we just have to find it.
Oh, we don't mean that the category is too big in terms of numbers, but in terms of scope: the Marvel universe is huge and made up of a ton of different storylines and versions of itself.
