Signups are now open here.

This is the first year we're including art as an option. As we are unsure of how many artists will sign up, we ask that you don't request only art as there is a high chance we won't be to match you on it.

If you aren't familiar with the signup process and need some help, there is a walkthrough here. The only difference is that this year we've added a medium field so you must choose if you're requesting/offering fic and/or art.

ETA: There is sometimes a bug with signups where all the nominated pairings in a fandom will not show up in the drop down list. If you experience this problem, please copy/paste the tag exactly as it is in the tagset and your signup should go through fine. Also remember that if you select "Any relationship", it is only the relationships that have been nominated in the tagset, not any relationship in the given fandom.

I do have a question...

The minimum requirement for our assignment is 1000 words of fic. Now, that, plus a little bit more, is a pretty great amount for me to offer. Unfortunately, on another similar fest, I landed myself with a more plot-driven prompt despite asking to receive quite the opposite (fluff pieces are my specialty) - so in the case that we get a prompt in which there is no way to complete the assignment in the 1000 word area, is there any way to anonymously contact the prompter, or... somehow make sure we at least have a beta to help get us through to the end?

I really do want to participate and gift (I don't even have to receive anything in return, frankly) but the problem is that I don't want to gift something BAD because the prompt was beyond my ability.

Should I just not sign up?


Sorry. I'm just really trying to figure out if there's a way to actually get a prompt I CAN fulfill properly.

You don't have to write anything you're uncomfortable with. Most people seem to give multiple options for things that they enjoy, but in the even that you're overwhelmed we would have no problem contacting someone on your behalf. We'll also have a beta post on the support come after assignments go out.

It's up to you whether you sign up or not. If you want to treat something (that is to say write something for someone, but not receive anything in return), you can browse letters or the requests when we make this visible. You could also keep an eye on the pinch hit list and see if anything strikes your fancy.

Ahhh thank you so much ♥ That makes me feel a million times better. I'm very excited that I can sign up because I've always wanted to do official fests/big bangs but have never been able to, yet this year I seem to finally be able to.
