We wanted to reiterate that small fandoms (aka fandoms with less than 1000 completed works of 1000+words at any one location) aren't allowed this time around. At least 90% of what we've rejected so far are fandoms that don't meet that criteria.

As the amount of nominations we receive doesn't really predict how many signups we will get, we felt that it was best this time around to exclude small fandoms because we weren't confident that we could match the people that requested them. Depending on how signups go this year, we may consider allowing them next year.

Also to note: a fandom must have at least two pairings nominated to make it to the signups. Those that don't have at least two pairings will be removed from the tagset before signups open.

ETA: Also we're open to discussion if you feel that something was rejected/added that shouldn't have been.

A Song of Ice and Fire currently has 999 completed works of 1000+ words at AO3. Will you reconsider its inclusion once it crosses the 1000 work line? It's been growing pretty steadily at a rate of 10 works a day, so I'm guessing that should happen by the end of the evening.

Great, thank you! (That 1000th story is being very stubborn about showing up. I hope I didn't curse the fandom by jumping the gun!)

These are the ones I nominated:

Arya Stark/Daenerys Targaryen
Meera Reed/Bran Stark
Asha Greyjoy/Robb Stark
Myrcella Baratheon/Arianne Martell
Alys Karstark/Sigorn of Thenn

Cersei Lannister/Jaime Lannister
Cersei Lannister/Sansa Stark
Cersei Lannister/Brienne of Tarth
Jaime Lannister/Brienne of Tarth
Cersei Lannister/Tyrion Lannister

Game of Thrones itself is a lot smaller. But I think it can fly as part of the A Song of Ice and Fire fandom.

On this subject, is it possible on AO3 to sign up for only Game of Thrones or only A Song of Ice and Fire? The show has made some characterization changes and is beginning to make significant plot changes as well.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry, I just wanted to do that. Oh well, I'll just ~have~ to content myself with the other rad rarepairs I have, including one that I've been nurturing for nigh on twelve years now. WHAT A SACRIFICE.

I think [livejournal.com profile] asoiaf_exchange and [livejournal.com profile] got_exchange kinda have that covered :-). It's okay, there's no shortage of places to go for ASOIAF fic.

Would you be willing to reconsider The L Word given the numbers here?: http://fanfiction.l-word.com/fanfiction_list.php?fld_author=&fld_completed=Y&fld_rating=&fld_score=

Also, my noms for the parings Sebastian Moran/Molly Hooper and Sebastian Moran/John Watson in the Sherlock fandom were rejected. Could I know why please? I'm not seeing the numbers on AO3 and ff.net doesn't include Moran in their character list but I'm sure that the numbers wouldn't be there even if it did.

It's arguable that he is a canon character, as of TRF. In ACD canon, Moran was the sniper at the Falls overseeing where Moriarty and Holmes faught. In TRF the sniper watching the street where John walked and the building where Sherlock and Jim argued was the one who had a scope, a tripod, and all the equipment of a real marksman - that sniper was Moran, he just hasn't been named yet, because he's only named in ACD canon in the Empty House.
